Training blog for Christopher Roberts, marathon swimmer and triathlete. Saturday, July 18, 2009. Swim Around the Rock. Start of the Swim Around the Rock Race. At about 11am I finally did it. After about 2 hours of swimming, I completed the swim from the shores of San Francisco, around Alcatraz, and back in nothing but a swimsuit, cap and googles. Receiving a medal after completing the swim. My family was there to see me off and my sister and her family were there to see me arrive. Friday, July 17, 2009.

Luckily my client made its world class on-site facilities available. Lunch hour swims, weight lifting, and treadmills were all on the agenda, albeit very sporadically. Training blog for Christopher Roberts, marathon swimmer and triathlete. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Week of Sept. 21st- Travel and Workouts. On Wednesday, I did a 3 mile jog, on Thursday did 6 miles. On Thursday night I drove to Denver. On Friday morning I did 3 miles at almost 5,600 ft. elevation in Golden, CO and was able to return to Utah late that night.
