Monday, February 1, 2010. It was all good. Our last full day together was spent Downtown. Tom and I got up really early to try to see the USS New York. Come up the Hudson River for her commissioning ceremony. Too bad that we missed her by just a few minutes. It was still quite moving to be there among so many of the families who lost loved ones on 9/11 and to see so many military members and regular people crowded together at the edge of the river to pay respects. She was even happy to see stinky fruit!
