New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Saturday, September 27, 2008. Just watched the sunrise on what looks to be a beautiful Saturday in Wellington. I'm feeling healthy after about two weeks of, what felt like, a losing battle against a sinus infection. I had never had such a painful infection before. There were hours at a time where I literally felt compelled to hold my head (some subconscious fear it might explode? Sunday, September 14, 2008. It's a sunny Sun...

New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Friday, May 16, 2008. This is my last day of work for five weeks. I will practice being a stay at home dad. I must admit that the thought overwhelms me a little bit, but I know it will be a great experience for me and hopefully for little Liam as well. Things are very good though. The boy is happy and healthy. Last night he only woke up once in the night for feeding. That was wonderful! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Friday, October 03, 2008. Hey, it's Friday! We still haven't found someone to take over our lease, but we will survive this. And we are still very excited about the new house. It is a beautiful sunny day here in Wellington and I am hoping to take the dog to the beach when I get out of the office. He loves it so much and gets so few good walks these days. New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Sunday, January 27, 2008. Stuff I've gotten a little mini sickness of some sort. Sore throat, a little achy, tired. Nothing serious, just annoying. Playing Tegan and Sara, they always make me smile. Brought Samson in with me today so that Celeste can rest without interruption until we get home. Work is keeping me busy. Celeste's parents arrive on Wednesday. That will be different for sure. Looks like the family (minus samso...

New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Sunday, November 23, 2008. Oooops, another unexpected hiatus. I must admit, plenty has happened since I last wrote. We have now been living in our very own house for over a month. Unfortunately, our old place did not get rented until.officially today I think. So we paid about 6 weeks of extra rent, not fun, but worth it to have our house! How cheesy is that? We have a massive back yard! More about the house? 3 bedroom, bath...

New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Saturday, November 29, 2008. Hope everyone in the US of A had a lovely Thanksgiving and gave lots of thanks for the Prez-elect! We didn't have the forethought to get a Turkey early enough for it to thaw in time to eat on Tday so had a roast chicken instead :-). So he went to another home that would have more time to provide the guidance he needs. He was a very cute and sweet little guy though. Sunday, November 23, 2008.

For now, that's about it. Sunday, February 17, 2008. Maybe you should read this. For more Liam info, written by his mother. Friday, February 15, 2008. For your enjoym...

New York to New Zealand Anatomy of an Emigrant and the Story of Repatriation ;-). Thursday, June 12, 2008. Only a little more than a week left of being stay at home dad! That is a bit sad. I enjoy my time with the boy. We have really gotten a feel for each other over this time. I have a much better feel for his wants/needs and he is more comfortable sleeping with me. He is taking his morning nap now and then we will go for a visit to his child care centre. We were very lucky to get a spot for him! Since ...
