Saturday, August 7, 2010. But once she’s up, she’s usually in a good mood. I’ve found that she’s become much more attached to me since beginning preschool and it’s become a mission to prepare dinner in the evenings with her hanging on my hip, but we are all finding new ways to accomplish daily tasks so this gave me a great opportunity to seek out her musical talents. We’ve found that she loves Mikey and Dora (who doesn’t? Posted by Heyar Padron. August 8, 2010 at 5:43 PM. August 9, 2010 at 12:13 PM.

Thursday, May 27, 2010. Quick update: Pete took on the dreaded "Consulado General de Colombia en Miami" today. He had an appointment to get his special Adoption Visa and after extensive document-gathering and intensive coaching from me (I don't need to remind you about my consulate horror stories here do I? He set out to get his visa one way or another. I almost didn't believe him when he called me with the visa in hand. What? I lost sleep over nothing (as usual). That's it for now! Our Adoption Journey: April 2010
http://padronadoption.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The FBI Fairy strikes again! I’m happy to report that we now hold in our hands (with a super-human death grip), the elusive FBI, Apostilled clearances! They made it back to us unharmed and in one piece. What a relief! We’ll now start preparing a care-package for Dayan with photos and a few things for her to start to know us. We’re all so excited to be this close! Posted by Heyar Padron. US side of the process. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Nothing to laugh at …. 8211; I had included...

Our Adoption Journey: Home Sweet Home
http://padronadoption.blogspot.com/2010/07/home-sweet-home.html
Friday, July 23, 2010. Since our arrival back in Miami last week, our life has been fast-paced and extremely busy (much like it was before we left for Colombia). Dayan has been making herself at home and has had no trouble adjusting to her new life. She keeps us extremely busy (I had forgotten how fast a toddler moves! And is always up for something new. Our life with Dayan has been everything we imagined (and so much more! Posted by Heyar Padron. Our life with Dayan. July 23, 2010 at 3:13 PM. A Ray of H...

Thursday, October 28, 2010. The happiest place on Earth! We recently made the long-awaited trip to Orlando to visit Mickey and friends. Dayan was absolutely thrilled! We all had a great time, including Natalie who enjoyed being the Disney ambassador. Our issues with Dayan are slowly dissapearing. We've made some adjustments and are slowly watching her integrate into our family. Posted by Heyar Padron. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tucker Adoption Journey Weblog. Maghanoy.com Pt. 2. Our Adoption Journey: March 2010
http://padronadoption.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 17, 2010. As things start to move along and we chip away at the mountain of paperwork and errands needed to put Dayan in our arms, we find ourselves again helplessly WAITING. Waiting for our agency to draft letters, waiting for medical tests, waiting for FBI checks and Immigration forms, waiting for the school-year to end … WAITING … to start our new life as a family of four. Last, but not least, here is our little Colombianita … soak in in the cuteness . Posted by Heyar Padron. It was w...

Our Adoption Journey: June 2010
http://padronadoption.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 24, 2010. Pete even tried the famous Canelazo (a mixture of agua panela and aguardiente, with a squirt of lemon). Once we made it down the mountain, and managed to hail a taxi, we went to the famous Museo de Oro (Gold museum) in the center of town. I remember visiting the museum 25 years ago, during my last visit to Colombia and loving every minute of it! I have to say, this visit was just as spellbinding. The extraordinary selection of pre-Hispanic gold is the biggest in the world! Luckil...
