When I joined the Auxiliary Fire Service in 1959, there were two appliances on the run 24 hrs per day, one manned by a crew of full-time firemen, and the second machine, crewed by means of volunteer retained firemen. We love the smell of rocket fuel in the morning". On May 14, 2016, the Oak Park Rocket Team competed in the National Finals of the Team America Rocketry Challenge, the world's largest rocket contest. At the event, the team met with congresspeople as they displayed their rocket, the Boeing 100, in honor of Boeing's 100th Anniversary, at the Rockets on the Hill reception on Capitol Hill. We hope to continue our success in future years, as well as expand our horizons in engineering and outreach.
