此中心曾接收逾5,400名船民，隨著該中心的船民遷往白石羈留中心，中心亦於1996年正式關閉 按 越南船民問題困擾香港達15年之久，這段期間香港共收容逾20萬名越南難民 香港特區政府於1998年取消 第一收容港 政策. 回顧當年年紀尚小，對越南船民的認識不多，但對當局反覆在收音機以越南語向船民廣播的宣傳聲帶卻極為深刻，特別是第一句的粵語諧音 北漏洞拉 意即 從現在開始 ，當時更常以此調笑。 遠足日 : 15.03.2015.

Monday, May 18, 2009. 昔日水務設施之行 — 金馬倫山. 下午有事要辦，只能來过半天行程。閉關已达個半月，炎炎夏日已來臨，早奌出門吧。半天行程，港島是不二之選。9奌多跳上6號巴士，已多人(行山隊)到沒有坐位(其實好少咁早搭6號)。在油站下車，便沿很悶的石屎路(布力徑)繞过聶哥信山，至今日行程的起步奌，布力徑港島徑交界的涼亭。是日目標是高439米的金馬倫山，網上資料所得，有4條路線可上頂，. 回走至副峰，前行不久，便可看見棄置配水庫及排氣管等設施。沿西北偏西(水管路)下山，頗斜，但好彩沿路頗多大樹可作扶手用，跨过金鴨石澗，不消半小時便至中峽道15號出口。 Links to this post.
