cyclesguff: still in a different place
http://cyclesguff.blogspot.com/2015/07/still-in-different-place.html
Thursday, 23 July 2015. Still in a different place. More fun in usa. this time on highway 89a that runs between flagstaff and sedona. the roads are what we in scotland would call heavy. the surface quite rough and the roads rolling with occasional hills like this one leading to oak creek vista point. Sunday, 26 July 2015. This north american trip has revealed a few new experiences. remarkably supportive drivers who moved across already wide roads to give the rider room and the chance to enjoy the scenery. cyclesguff: high intensity training a review
http://cyclesguff.blogspot.com/2014/09/high-intensity-training-review.html
Tuesday, 2 September 2014. High intensity training a review. After what has been a relatively light year in the guff programme thoughts turn to how to keep motivated through the winter and that perennial struggle between time available and effort required. Old style training suggest getting the miles in but that is not always possible. Looking for something a bit more cycling specific this guffer opted for a tome Cycling: hiit bicycle training guide by Ted Hardy. Which seems all together better thought o...

cyclesguff: February 2014
http://cyclesguff.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 6 February 2014. Guff towers has been quiet of late, but a few guffers are finding fun on shank's pony. Running along local paths and mountain bike routes (roots) certainly makes you view the landscape from a different perspective. The only issue is when you return home, check the strava feed and realise that you are quicker running than cycling! That last statement provides an insight to the amount of time spent in the saddle. A Glasgow School of Art, School of Design initiative. A good campag...

Monday, 27 July 2015. No trip to arizona is complete without a visit to the grand canyon. in the reading prior to going the guidebook pointed out that it can make a pleasant bike ride 25 miles from grand canyon village to the east rim exit. strange how an idea gets planted, takes root and won't leave. quite glad about that. That's not cgi honest. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A merry band of riders who travel the roads and trails sourcing stories and recounting those from before. 2007 La Marmotte, ...

cyclesguff: 4 Seasons in one bike
http://cyclesguff.blogspot.com/2015/04/4-seasons-in-one-bike.html
Friday, 24 April 2015. 4 Seasons in one bike. This time last year the only thing that was spinning was my head, the thought and planning invested in a major house renovation doesn't leave much room for anything else. In the passing months, my bikes have gathered more dust than miles and my house gathered more dust than expected. Thankfully, the majority of works have been completed, but I still find myself searching for opportunities to enjoy the bike. The Boardman is now the basis for an experiment - ca...
