Undomestic Goddess: Iron Man at the Dome
http://lilcee8.blogspot.com/2008/05/iron-man-at-dome.html
The life and times of a wife who hates housework. Wednesday, May 07, 2008. Iron Man at the Dome. Mr Cee spent his Friday at happy hour at Mojitos while I stayed at home waiting for the rental guy to drop off the chairs for tomorrow's event. I'm hosting PharmD and Chinaman's baby shower. So much prepping for a lil ol party. Someone got Texan an Iron Man t-shirt and we scored him an action figure. Of course we had him take an actual pic w/ the display. Of course I had to take in on the action. The last mov...

The life and times of a wife who hates housework. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Warning: Sad post ahead*. I knew something was wrong so we dragged her to the hospital. There I stayed w/ her from checking in to x-rays. Since I was the only one who could translate the best, I stayed w/ her till they checked her into a room. She had fractured her pelvis in three areas and will require surgery. I didn't get home till 1 am completely exhausted. Who's going to take care of them? Links to this post. Sorry if I'v...

A blog about 50 somthing's adventures in fashion and sewing. Loes Hinse Retro Jacket. Asymp; 1 Comment. This jacket is the second item on my fall sewing list, although it’s a leftover from summer – if I was all trendy I would call it ‘the perfect transitional piece’. I have used this pattern once before and it comes together super easy. Here’s the pattern photo:. Loes Hines Retro Jacket. It is made from a light/midweight black linen from my stash. A blog about 50 somthing's adventures in fashion and sewing. New Look 6303 and Style Arc Linda Pants. Asymp; 7 Comments. It’s funny how I’ve seen this style of blouses all over the stores for a couple of years, and yet until this past year there has only been one sewing pattern! This was a fast sew, (warning, takes about 3 meters of fabric, the front panel is cut double on the bias! Cut one night and sewn the next, including French seams throughout! Worn with the famous-in-the-blogosphere Style Arc Linda...

A blog about 50 somthing's adventures in fashion and sewing. McCalls 6996 Missoni-Inspired Cardigan. Asymp; 3 Comments. This is a quick sew project made from a lovely, cushy, stretchy missoni-inspired knit from Fabricland. It was a decision between McCalls 6996 and McCalls 6884; both had lovely reviews on the web. 8211; at the very least it goes with a lot of things and I’m proud of the stripe matching….sorry for bad phone pics, but easier on a rushed day to get some pics than none! Saturday, January 31, 2009. Monterey, Day Two. Our hotel is right on the beach, and I fell asleep last night to the sound of the ocean. It was so rhythmic and relaxing, it made me (almost) understand why people buy those cheesy noise machines from Brookstone. But, there's no substitution for the real thing, and I slept like a baby. I woke up this morning to this gorgeous view from our window. I totally snapped a picture. I am turning into my mother, God help me. We strolled around the shops in Carmel and...

Friday, November 27, 2009. Last weekend, my mom and I traveled to San Diego to participate in The Breast Cancer 3-Day. Benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk, approximately 20 miles per day. I had heard great things about the walk from Amber. So, it was a pretty powerful weekend. Here's us right before the opening ceremony at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. We look so happy and energetic. The energy did not last. :). And, we were off! How cute is my mom? I have to say that one of th...

Sunday, November 30, 2008. We had a whole mess of people over at our house to celebrate our day of gratitude and gluttony. Nineteen people, to be exact. This was especially ambitious given I had (very routine) surgery on Tuesday. Thank God for my mom who flew in from Alaska. My grandma's first reaction was, of course, "Where are you going to. All of those people? Well, we cleared out our formal living room and rented some chairs. It ended up working out pefectly. Some pics of our Thanksgiving table.

Sunday, March 29, 2009. I cannot believe my little baby sister is 26. Holy Lord. To celebrate, she had a get together with her med school friends on Friday night. Josh and I drove out there after work and hung out with a bunch of her pals. There were a ton of people (duh, everyone loves Bug! And my sis was mouthy and bouncy as ever. Saturday, we had a family bbq to celebrate her birthday. The weather was beautiful. That, plus family and a fridge full of beer and wine, what more could we ask for? Unfortun...
