California Campaigns: February 2006
http://californiacampaigns.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 27, 2006. Assembly GOP Leadership Battle. Tom Del Beccaro has it. That McCarthy will soon be stepping down to undertake a Congressional race (more sure to come on that later), and that Plescia, Keene, and Walters are all vying to replace him. Anything anyone hears, we'll be trying our best to stay atop this. As Drudge would say, DEVELOPING. Posted by Pete St. John @ 5:54 PM. Thursday, February 23, 2006. To this point, it’s been cat and mouse. You can see the pdf of Tony’s release here.

DELEGATION LOSES A SOLID YOKE. However, Cox’s departure from Congress to the SEC leaves a gaping hole in the Delegation, and all indications are that rather than having a solid movement conservative filling the seat, Dreier, Lewis, and Thomas will instead get a new playmate. To keep up on this very important election, check up regularly at OC Blog. And at the OC Courant. Lastly, as Cox is leaving, his look back at his career in Congress is quite an interesting read. Enjoy. The changes I've seen. At the P...

California Campaigns: October 2005

Friday, October 28, 2005. Governor's Team Retreats - Tries to Rebuild for 2006. The new ad is also an admission that the only measure left with a chance of passing - Prop. 75 - has been hurt by it's association with the Governor. Republican pollster Arnie Steinberg penned an excellent article on the Governor's troubles for the San Diego Union a couple of days ago. Here is the link. Posted by Charlie Regan @ 9:50 AM. Tuesday, October 25, 2005. 73’s Lackluster Voter Contact Campaign. What do you think?

Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Is Haynes Receiving a Cristich Payback? Ray Haynes conservative credentials were put into question when he endorsed Cristich, and now his ethics are put into question when he takes money from her husband. Maybe his poor fundraising has forced him to even stoop to this level. Posted by Pete St. John @ 12:38 PM. Saturday, April 15, 2006. Why was the 50th CD was different? Chris Cox gets to be SEC Chairman. John Campbell scares everyone out of the race. What was the difference?

California Campaigns: September 2005
http://californiacampaigns.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2005. From everything I’ve been hearing, the CalBorderPolice Initiative is a non-starter. That the Governor polled it, and it came back lackluster. That it isn’t raising hardly squat for money. That it isn’t collecting nearly enough signatures. What’s the word elsewhere? Does this thing have a shot? Posted by Pete St. John @ 3:51 PM. Monday, September 26, 2005. Afraid or Arrogant or Both? Is John Campbell afraid or just arrogant or both? But today, your campaign manager, presente...

California Campaigns: November 2005

Tuesday, November 29, 2005. The Governor is expected to name Davis/Dem staffer Susan Kennedy COS within 24 hours. This betrayal of the Recall will set off a war inside the GOP between the rank and file and the chamber/donor types. Among other things, Kennedy is a former ED of the California Democratic Party and the Calif. Abortion Rights Action League. Posted by Charlie Regan @ 7:16 PM. Monday, November 28, 2005. Are You Now or Have You Ever Been a Member of the Republican Party? Maybe we can bring anoth...

Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Correction: Adams Still Has This Race Won. I hate to disagree with the venerable Mr Regan, but in this instance, I must. Adams has this thing locked up. Unlike Lancaster, who put his money clearly just to show a higher reporting figure, Adams started his race off with his loan and has shown clearly a willingness to spend what he put in. The loan by Adams seems more a way to recoup the money, should he win. Additionally, Lancaster has baggage galore. Any financial facts and figu...

Saturday, May 27, 2006. Faith, Family and Keith Richman. Everyone knows that in order to be on slates- you have to pay. Everyone knows that some slates are for sale to the highest bidder. Keith Richman is a GOP lawmaker with a proven pro-gay and pro-abortion agenda. He was the only GOP Assembly member NOT to support the parental notification initiative. Now, Keith Richman has bought on to the "Family, Faith and Freedom" Slate. Proof is here. Claude Parrish is no conservative hero. But Keith Richman?
