The life and times of Stella. Friday, August 07, 2015. Road trip Day 5: Salina, KS to Denver, CO. We only crossed one state line today. I am highly sensitive to altitude. I think it comes from basically living at an altitude less than 100'. So our 4000' climb from Kansas into Denver left me exhausted. After that we rode the shuttle back to the visitors center, walked back to the car, picked up Maggie from the puppy day care, headed back to the hotel and had a refreshing dip in the pool. We ate lunch at the Zion Lodge in the restaurant (the one inside with the air conditioning). The food was tasty! We did all the other very hot stops for Stella's Ranger Badge requirements. This year I got the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Hard Luck. I bet most of my friends will be jealous. The life and times of Stella. Monday, August 03, 2015. Road Trip Day 1 - DC to Virginia to West Virginia. This is Stella's Blog, I (Stella's mom) started it as a digital baby book for my little monkey about 9 years ago. I stopped once my grandma stopped reading it. I figured facebook was able to keep my digital photo albums and happenings, so why bother with this? Last year I handed the blog over to Stella and she made a couple entries, but then she lost interest. Somewhere in Virginia on Interstate 81.
