Monday, August 2. National Farmers Market Week. Last week, Agriculture Secretary Vilsack made National Farmers Market Week an official US holiday. Sadly, that doesn't mean we get any days off and really unfortunately, that doesn’t translate into any vacation time for farmers or the markets they sell at. But I for one am quite happy that the government is recognizing the importance of farmers markets for farmers and eaters. So, how will you celebrate this new national holiday?
