We decided to go to the Piazza near the Pantheon to grab some food when we ran into Amanda and Mike McCloskey! We both grew up with Amanda at Crestwood Baptist. They were in Europe for the Passion Tour and for some touring around of their own. We really could not believe we ran into MORE people we knew from the States! We waited and waited, went through the passport checkpoint and then waited some more.

We made it through 5 countries (with one train trip through Germany) in one month and survived, coming home last night. Our last day was a travel day. We had slept in the airport until 6 AM when we woke up and blew our last 15 euros on one dozen original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts. Can you tell we were ready to be back in the States? The tale of my escapades. Monday, November 16, 2009. After getting back, Eleanor picked me up and we headed to the school where we met a woman named Deborah. She was going to take us to an orphanage. This broke my heart to hear Liza’s story and then to see her sweet face. Everything that I saw today overwhelmed me. It’s hard to hear about so many problems and then to see the children effected. While I feel like I should have so much to say about today, I don’t even have words. Have a good day, friends!
