Thursday, August 27, 2009. These past few weeks at work have been crazy. I feel like I haven't been able to do anything for myself. Today is my 11Th day in a row working, and I can't explain how happy I am to have tomorrow off. Just get back on my regular routine. Walk my dog, bake cupcakes, manicure and pedicure. I'm excited to do the normal things that I take advantage of. Laundry, cleaning my house, food shopping.i'm even excited to do the things I normally do not look forward to doing.

My boyfriend's birthday was on September 2nd and for his birthday he asked me to make him cupcakes in his favorite college football team, Louisiana State University. S colors. Take a look at how cute they came out! I made a delicious Purple Vanilla Buttercream and swirled it atop extra moist vanilla cupcakes and finished with some yellow nonpariels. I used a pastry bag, filled one side with red buttercream and the other side with white buttercream to create the swirl affect. I love love love how they came out. Just look how cute the liners are. I even added some red sparkling sugar to some of them! I cant even take it! 1 cup (2 sticks) butter. 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract.

His Birthday was on August 11th and for the second year in a row we had a big shin-dig at our house for him! I spent days thinking of a cake to make him. When I visited my new favorite store. Pan I new exactly what to do. So I wanted to share with you some pictures from his party! I made him a cute little fondant yankee hat to match my Poppy's. I even made him a flag to hold.
