THE WILD SIDE

This blog is my attempt to share my thoughts about agriculture, politics and life with those I encounter. All thoughts are my own. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. A Father's Advice Goes A Long Way. THE WILD SIDE: About Me

http://ohiofarmkid.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html

This blog is my attempt to share my thoughts about agriculture, politics and life with those I encounter. All thoughts are my own. I'm Sam Wildman. I grew up in Southwest Ohio on a farm where my family grows corn, soybeans and raises pigs. My younger days were spent in the pig barns with my dad, riding along while we moved pigs from farm to farm, or enjoying my time in the tractor with him. I love my family! My best farm friend "Dallas". You'll notice over time, my blog has evolved from a diary-type refl...

Here is what I've been reading:.

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 1 Cor. 3:7. August 27, 2015. We started chopping silage for the dairy yesterday. The corn yield is up and down in these first few fields. The chopper takes 10 rows of corn at a time and cuts it into about 1-inch pieces. It’s amazing to watch how fast the corn stalks are fed into the chopper and then blown out the spout into the trucks. Heading to the next field. This was the first field we got done.

Sunday, January 8, 2017. A little bit of Christmas. Our holiday season is not over just yet. We had one Christmas this week and one more next weekend before it will come to an end. I have been enjoying having a little time to sit and enjoy the lights and music of Christmas. As I am trying to catch up after having two businesses during the Christmas season we have also been preparing for our Mother's Day opening. We have been purchasing furniture and planning events for this coming year! Links to this post.
