I something smart about advertising goes here I. Thursday, August 21, 2008. I guess it's not bad to say ones' various brand names are a "family" - but when the word "family", "pack", and "beer" come too close together, you might be saying something different altogether. Let's get the family pack! Mom: "Good thinking, son. It's always smart to save on the essentials! Let's get two. We all know how your sister's a booze-hound.". Johnny: "Gee, Mom. You're the best! Monday, August 18, 2008. It provides me en...

Books, books, and more books…. I love the anticipation that builds every year as we wait for the windows to be revealed at the original flagship store of Neiman Marcus on Main Street downtown. It’s a big to do. People come from all over the city with their hot chocolate and scarves to stand in the streets and their eyes sparkle as the NM Christmas tree is unveiled (. It almost always seems to turn cold just in time. Under a certain height. Can crawl through the windows! Inside the stories. This uniqu...

https://theappetiteoflife.wordpress.com/2011/03/31/bread-n-jam-yummy
The Appetite of Life. Larr; Brunching on Easter. Going, going, gone…. Bread ‘N Jam – Yummy! March 31, 2011. There’s nothing like bread and jam. Homemade. I was recently inspired by a plum preserves recipe I found in an old issue of Food Network Magazine. I’m not typically a. Fan of this magazine, but when I travel, I seem to indulge in more entertainment-like magazines. While doing some spring cleaning I came across this recipe. 6 cups sliced plums. Juice of one lime. And the only difference I did was su...

Just Rhubarb. | The Appetite of Life
https://theappetiteoflife.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/just-rhubarb
The Appetite of Life. June 4, 2011. It’s rhubarb season! And so I’ve gone and made some rhubarb treats. They’re nothing original, but they are simple, tasty, and fresh from the garden! The first was adapted from a recipe from Bon Appetit magazine. It can be found here. The original recipe calls for raspberries, but I left those out. The other change I added was sprinkle the top with chopped almonds and raw sugar before baking. This was a delicious and fresh sweet treat! I used a gluten-free pie crust.

The Appetite of Life. Larr; Just Rhubarb. Bread ‘N Jam – Yummy! April 30, 2011. My sister is a pretty amazing cook. Like really amazing. I’m staying with her in Portland for a couple of weeks as I transition from Peace Corps back to real, fast-paced American life. Just thought I’d share this meal we ate recently for Easter morning brunch. Bacon-wrapped Eggs with Polenta. And Spring Greens with Sherry Vinaigrette. From Bon Appetit magazine. Yum!
