この祭礼二日間 七月第四土曜日 日曜日 は老若男女氏子の心が一つとなり、. 比叡山延暦寺の山伏が大野湊を通じて往来したことから生まれたといい、古来より大野町では 弥彦ばば の通称で、代々十六 十七歳の若者によりその秘芸が継承されています。 次に黒法衣に菅笠をかぶり、高下駄をはき、法螺貝を吹き、笛と太鼓の一群が続き、 大日大聖不動明王 と書いた紺旗、 降三世明王 の赤旗、 軍茶利夜叉明王 の黒旗、 大威徳明王 の白旗、 金剛夜叉明王 の緑旗の五色旗を押し立てて総勢二十人余が随行します。 牙をむいて威嚇し荒れ狂う獅子を、一人或いは二、三人の 棒振り が武器を持ち、業を尽くして打ちこらし退治する勇壮な形が基本となり、大人はもちろん保育園 年長 、小学六年生と中学一 二年生も参加し、伝統芸能を継承しています。 総勢四十 五十人で、 頭 棒振り 笛 太鼓 三味線 をそれぞれ担い、町内を廻ります。
