A journal of my backyard bluebirds. Ready for brood two …. A little blue egg … →. May 13, 2015. The bad weather is gone, at least for a couple of days, and the sun shone brightly yesterday. Mama made hay working on her second nest of the season. Daddy played his usual role of building inspector, peering inside every time Mama came out after bringing in new nesting material. I moved the nestbox a few feet yesterday to keep it in the afternoon shade as the sun. Total chicks fledged from this site is 61.
