It sounds so luxurious, in a way, and so sinful, in another. My parents are die-hard fans of Dales Steak Seasoning. Ok, in all honesty, the Family Unit aspect of this dinner was somewhat lessened once my sister and I were teenagers with cars and friends and boyfriends… but the cherished memory lives on! Food and fun. But mostly food. Sunday, June 9, 2013. Delicious Summer Foods Edition. Pulled pork is one of my favorite foods. There, I said it. I nearly always order it when I go to BBQ restaurants, and the version out here has been bothering me because it is so, so cumin-heavy. Maybe this is a Western US thing, since we are closer to the Southwest and/or Tex Mex regions? Anyway, I suppose some things we just have to do ourselves! Smoked paprika or liquid smoke are acceptable replacements for me, for now.

Seven months out here, countless applications. Of course I was particular about the kinds of jobs I applied to, but still it was quite a long dry spell! I could do a roast chicken. Redux, since I've tweaked my recipe since the original post. I could also talk a little more about pulled pork. Because I've found an amazing new method which is simpler and more amazing than you can imagine. (Darn, the ideas start pouring in once I get going…! And oh boy, it's a goody. 1 1/2T lime zest.
