Midlife Singlemum: I'm The Christmas Cinderella
http://midlifesinglemum.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-cinderella.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2011. I'm The Christmas Cinderella. After lunch we would play pontoon (21) with about eight people sitting round the table each with a pile of matchsticks to wager with. Did I mention that in the morning we were always invited round to our nextdoor neighbours for Christmas drinks and to see their amazing tree? The real meaning of Hanuka? Usual joke: they tried to kill us, we won, let's eat. December 14, 2011 at 10:56 PM. December 14, 2011 at 11:24 PM. December 14, 2011 at 11:28 PM.

http://www.sarahhague.com/2011/12/looking-back-at-my-first-ever-post.html
St Bloggie de Riviere. Things French, life in France, general wittering and the odd rant. Thursday, December 01, 2011. Looking back at my first ever post. Over in the wilds that make up Mammasaurus. Domain, there is a blog hop link-up to post our first ever blog post. This weekend they are going to see their dad, so taxi duties will be replaced by. a void. I have writing work to do, but can I be arsed to do it? Maybe if it's raining, there's nothing on tele and no one to talk to. (unlikely, on Twitte...

P.S. - Dungeness - Britain's Only Desert - P.S.
http://www.parentshaped.co.uk/2015/03/dungeness-britains-only-desert
Dungeness – Britain’s Only Desert. I left my soul there,. Down by the sea. I lost control here. People come here to escape, and pop stars (Prodigy, Lighthouse Family) come here to make music videos in peace. I debated writing this, as it is the sort of place you want to keep secret. It was magic to be there with even more of my favourite people this time. Here comes my brother, his wife and their son B. Yep Mr G got soaked…and ended up wearing my gloves on his feet. There wasn’t room for us in the ...

Suitcase Secrets ~ The World According to Izzie
http://www.theworldaccordingtoizzie.co.uk/2015/08/suitcase-secrets.html
The World According to Izzie. A lifestyle blog from a forty-something mum. Monday, 3 August 2015. Summer has to be my favourite season of the year. I dream of lazy days filled with sunshine, exploring the great British countryside and venturing further afield for holidays abroad. Does anything beat the simple pleasure of time at the beach I wonder? And isn't everything just so much lovelier when the sun's out? My next holiday is. The passport stamp I love most is. I'd always go back to. Roll, don't fold ...

Showing Off ! - Jo Sandelson Cartoons
http://www.josandelson.com/heir-raising/showing-off
Posted by Jo Sandelson. Bull; 6 Comments. Did I die on my arse as Arthur Smith my esteemed comedy teacher might ask? Well the most important thing for a middle aged female comedian was not having bingo wings flapping out of a sleeveless dress ready for flight front of stage. No laughs I could handle. Unless they were going to laugh at my wobbling ‘triceps’. Well even those were up for grabs. In a very real sense. I was going to bloody try. I was first on after Arthur’s. It’s Friday night. I’ve had a ...

Mummy Plum: April 2014
http://mummyplum.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 2 April 2014. Nearly at the end. Fourteen months on, we have begun the process of repacking boxes. Time to move back to the other end of the street. EB was two and a half months old when we moved out of Faulty Towers. I allowed Husband to persuade me then that packing ourselves would be a good thing, an opportunity to declutter. It was not one of his better ideas. A sleep deprived, hormonal zombie, I tried my best, but found myself unable to part with much. On Saturday, the next chapter begins.

All in the genes - Jo Sandelson Cartoons
http://www.josandelson.com/heir-raising/all-in-the-genes
All in the genes. Posted by Jo Sandelson. Bull; 7 Comments. I moved to a new school when I was 7. Everyone else had started the year before and knew what the hell was going on. My first ballet class: stretched into a pink leotard, pink ballet skirt and pink satin pumps. All the girls seemed to know what to do. I didn’t. My arms and legs were more wooden than any tree and appeared more like a telegraph pole than anything nature had raised from the ground. Considering the above, my first school report AGED.

Mummy Plum: December 2013
http://mummyplum.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 December 2013. At 715 we could wait no more, I retrieved a bell stick from EB’s stocking and conjured up some sleigh bell noises. Pip shot down the stairs like a Christmas rocket. Later, I noticed how neatly Pip had put all his presents in a pile. How he stood back looking at the collective swag, taking it all in, and I was reminded of how I used to do exactly the same thing as a girl. Thursday, 19 December 2013. This December I’ve found time for a little sparkle, dug out some fancy Choo...
