The Funk Family: May 2009
http://funk-family.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Where did my little baby go? Tristan is just a few weeks away from being 8 months old and is looking and acting more and more like a little boy instead of a "baby". He's had his 2 front bottom teeth for a couple months now, and the 2 front ones on the top are coming in currently. Goodbye toothless grin. We're looking forward to celebrating Tristan's first Father's Day, 4th of July, and then we'll be in the home stretch to his first birthday. I guess I'd better start planning! The Funk Family: April 2009
http://funk-family.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
We took a 6 mile stroll today. Today was the March of Dimes. Which is a 6 mile walk through downtown Sacramento. It took us about 2.5 hours to complete, but thankfully the weather was great and it was nice to get some exercise! You may be wondering why we would do this.It is to remember Lucas. We walked with our good friends Ed and Marcie, who know first-hand the pain of losing a child due to prematurity and birth defects. Here is their story:. Aaron and I are so thankful that Tristan was born. Tristan i...

The Funk Family: April 2010
http://funk-family.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Fall and Winter 2009. I originally wrote this in April 2010. I've been meaning to get better about keeping up our family's blog, and obviously I've failed. So instead of trying to make a perfect catch up post, I'm just going to post this, and start fresh. Yeah, I've missed some stuff, but that's life! Well, I have been quite neglectful of our family blog lately. I'm pretty surprised that the last thing I posted was Tristan's birthday. Seems I've got quite a bit of catching up to do.

Tristan's 1st Birthday Party. The one happy picture! I should not have gotten colored frosting! It was everywhere are the red was particularly staining. I had red hands the rest of the day and I think Tristan still has red and blue frosting stains under his fingernails. I managed to get a few bites of cake in his mouth, but he didn't seem to like it very much. He continued to cry through the whole thing. Here are some pictures from Tristan's Special Day:. Getting fussy so Mom finishes opening presents.

The Funk Family: Our Family is Complete!
http://funk-family.blogspot.com/2010/10/our-family-is-complete.html
Our Family is Complete! I'm happy to finally have a moment to write about the arrival of our little girl, Fiona June Funk. Around 8:00pm I was sitting at the computer when I felt a little trickle of wetness. I thought to myself, "Hmm, I wonder if that could be it? Around 8:15pm it happened again, and that's when I realized this was it! The next day we had visits from our family, and Tristan came to meet his new little sister. He was very excited and gave lots of kisses and patted her head. Our li...

The Funk Family: June 2009

Today Tristan really crawled for the first time! So exciting to see him achieve this milestone. He's been rolling around, scooting, and generally just moving about without being on hands and knees. I just noticed him starting to do it while trying to get to the bookcase of DVDs and grabbed the video camera. Here is the 5 minute video of his first real crawling (and me trying to get him to clap at the end). I did have to "bribe" him with a DVD to do it! Posted on 6/25/2009 09:19:00 AM.
