Random things from life as I see it.: Fall harvest: Tobacco
http://randomfromwinstonsalem.blogspot.com/2009/10/fall-harvest-tobacco.html
Random things from life as I see it. Thursday, October 1, 2009. Great post. Brings back memories of my grandpa taking me to the North Davidson area where the tobacco farm he grew up on was located. He took me in what I thought was a small barn, but there was no mistaking the smell of tobacco curing. I loved that smell. October 2, 2009 at 12:33 PM. October 2, 2009 at 3:51 PM. Jami Borden Prince said. Love, love, love the smell of tobacco. The worms, not so much. October 4, 2009 at 8:43 PM. As A Man Thinketh.

Random things from life as I see it. Saturday, March 5, 2011. Diving with Whale Sharks Video. Finally figured out how to rip, edit and post! Video of our dive with the Whale Sharks at the Georgia Aquarium. GOOGLE CHROME SEEMS TO NOT PLAY NICELY WITH QUICKTIME - YOU WILL NEED TO USE EITHER INTERNET EXPLORER, SAFARI, FIREFOX OR OPERA. SEEMS A BIT ODD THAT GOOGLE WOULD NOT HAVE RESOLVED THIS ISSUE GIVEN THE BROAD USE OF QUICKTIME. Wow, and again I say wow. Was the manta ray really that big? As A Man Thinketh.

Random things from life as I see it. Monday, January 17, 2011. Botany Bay Plantation, SC. There are no words to adequately describe this place. I will simply say - get thee down to Edisto Island, SC (just south of Charleston) and plan on spending a long and amazing day if not two - on foot. Sea turtle and the state-threatened least tern. The maritime forest and coastal scrub/shrub areas provide nesting and foraging habitat for neotropical songbirds including painted buntings and summer tanagers. ...The c...

Random things from life as I see it.: Blue Hill, Maine 2011
http://randomfromwinstonsalem.blogspot.com/2011/07/blue-hill-maine-2011.html
Random things from life as I see it. Friday, July 15, 2011. Blue Hill, Maine 2011. This year was a shortened trip as we were without Karen who had to tend to her shop. However, we had a wonderful time all the while missing her. Blue Hill. Is just such a pleasant place, full of interesting and dynamic people. I had the pleasure of meeting author Peter Behrens. And exchanging some emails with Martha White. Anyway, turns out that Peter Behrens is a classic car nut as well and has a terrific blog AutoLiterate.

Random things from life as I see it. Sunday, August 28, 2011. Out in NC tobacco country in late August. Needless to say that we have a certain nostalgia for tobacco in this part of the world. Some actually say that we consider it a vegetable. You may have seen my previous post. Guest post actually) on the old tobacco auctioneers and my post from visiting a tobacco warehouse. Love the shot where you captured the red dirt. And Pilot Mtn of course! August 28, 2011 at 2:43 PM. August 28, 2011 at 8:56 PM.
