I'm alone with a dream: January 2017
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Saturday, 14 January 2017. Lonely Guide: making capes quickly out of tin. A fellow G wargamer asked how I made capes and cloth out of tin, and I thought it'd be a good time to put up a tutorial on the subject, just to have on the blog in case. You're going to need a bit of tin first, and an old pair of scissors to cut it with- be careful what you choose, you'll need something that both paint and your glue can stick to. Some commercial tins are coated in. odd. Right, now I've t...

I'm alone with a dream: November 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Sunday, 27 November 2016. Hobby update: My own legion of the damned. Let's get this out of the way quick- I LOVE the Prospero box kit! MKIII must be my favorite sort of power armour, and all the other cool bitz you get-! 300 NZD was a stretch, but I know I won't be needing to buy any more plastic crack for a great long while. So what will I be doing with the set? Oh, you know. I won't be assembling them as per the box! Hee hee, aren't I mean. Also melta weapons deep striking i...

I'm alone with a dream: The two-year dream: looking back at some of my older posts
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-two-year-dream-looking-back-at-some.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Saturday, 17 December 2016. The two-year dream: looking back at some of my older posts. Today's post will be a bit of a self-glorifying mess, I'm sorry. We go back and pick out some of the more notable posts on the blog to have another look at. Two years, 100 posts and 20,000 views and. My first ever post. With no expectation of audience, stuff like a rather odd deathwatch conversion. I was so proud of back then, and the day I learned to embed videos and spammed it for one day.

I'm alone with a dream: June 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Monday, 27 June 2016. Further distractions: some Skitarii. Once again I find myself starting something new while all my other half-finished projects look on in dismay. Mechanicus! Trailing pipes and ripped open faces have always appealed to me; I've wanted to kitbash some horrendously mutilated humans- Astartes didn't count- but have only now gained enough courage to get myself a box of skitarii. A while ago I made a version of Anacharis Scoria. And I believe that prompted me.

I'm alone with a dream: January 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Tuesday, 26 January 2016. 3rd Captain Baldr finished. And at that very moment three thunderhawks black with age and re-entry broke through the layer of smog straight into Dari's magnocular vision, preceded by a vessel similar, yet larger, squarer, wrought quite almost like a basilica. Lord Baldr, captain over the Blotfjord,' though abrupt and over the top of Dari's attempted greeting it was a sonnet that pierced the smog with light and the Astartes himself was indescribably be...

I'm alone with a dream: Chapter master complete
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016/10/chapter-master-complete.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Wednesday, 19 October 2016. My my I suppose he was one of those projects you start by a year's worth of fiddling and dry-fitting, and then suddenly you realise you've made him. I've attempted making The Sagodjur Fjorlag's Chapter master several times before, and either become frightened or daunted, I'm not sure which. But not quite what I was after. Ever since I finished my Anacharis scoria. The paint sort of jumped on all at once and he was finished! He's also on Flikr. Too, ...

I'm alone with a dream: December 2016
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Monday, 26 December 2016. Commission work: Thousand sons #1, and the grief involved. Fear not, for the custodia watch over you! Throne, I'm tired. Ho ho I'm such an optomist. actually, I was wound up with getting the canoness figure and didn't think much about how HORRIBLE resin- particularly old, 3rd party stuff- could be. Sorry for the rotten picture quality- again. The sorcerer was the only candidate up for the dettol bath, so in he went. Poses Can't say I tried though.

I'm alone with a dream: Commission work: Thousand sons #2, DONE!
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2017/01/commission-work-thousand-sons-2-done.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Monday, 2 January 2017. Commission work: Thousand sons #2, DONE! That took a while, but what a surprising finish! I learned a lot while painting these guys- for one, gold needs to be shaded with druchii violet, otherwise it turns anything into a Christmas ornament. Here they are, with minor weathering. Slightly more weathering. Still not really a fan of the sculpts though. I don't mind this. Said the as-yet undiagnosed furry. And surprised Jeff with the second. Bye bye for now.

I'm alone with a dream: Assembling/converting canoness Veridyan #1: sidhe of the scalpel
http://imalonewithadream.blogspot.com/2016/12/assemblingconverting-canoness-veridyan.html
A lonely kitbasher's trade. Friday, 23 December 2016. Assembling/converting canoness Veridyan #1: sidhe of the scalpel. Summer's upon us in full force down the bottom of the world, and last-minute Christmas traffic has been going back and forth past our quiet country road and driving me quite mad! Just quickly though, I'll show you my other projects:. First- and most closest to completion that isn't finished- a warpsmith for fellow 40K G member, Thefallenstar:. When have I ever been careful? Yes Yes I wa...
