I’m spending two week in Zambia with a team of people from the Forge Community Church to do a deworming exercise, run some basic health education and to spend some time playing with some of the poorest kids around. I’m also a techy and I can’t really imagine going anywhere without an internet connection. Posting to this blog is as much about the challenge as anything else. I also help run @iedesign. I took this photo in Maposa – I found this girl quietly sitting around the back of one of the buildings examining the toothbrush she had been given. No more crackers to buttter, no more deworming tablets to prepare, no more water containers to fill,vans to pack, toys to sort, craft to organise, talks to prepare, kids to visit…. We all remember our best teacher. Everyday I meet a loads of kids, lots of them have sniffles and colds, to the untrained eye (mine) you’d think exactly that they’ve got a cold. But many of the kids have colds because their immune system just isn’t up to the job, from birth they’ve been HIV positive, it’s not their fault but they will still suffer.
