At last we have seen Flamingos close up! Lake Nakuru and Lake Elememtaita are well known for the thousands of flamingos that thrive on the algae in these shallow lakes. For the past three years the water levels in the lakes have been higher than normal so the flamingos have left in search of better feeding grounds.
