It’s not reasonable to expect us to behave rationally in all situations, especially where desire is strong. Also, some people’s choice to procreate rather than adopt may not be irrational, but just based on a system of values that I can’t comprehend. I try to remember that my perspective isn’t the only valid perspective. I hear a baby crying. A sad sound, a lonely sound.
