one little elephant

Change is Good - or is it? Friday, July 29, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 6 comments. Recently I began Tweeting. Against my will. Okay, not exactly against my will, but reluctantly. So while up to this point maintaining three blogs has been fairly easy, I fear that adding Twitter and eventually Facebook to the mix may be pushing things. After all, I still need to write novels and my family expects cooking, cleaning and other maid services to continue uninterrupted. For at least the next few weeks.

one little elephant: January 2011

http://www.onelittleelephant.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 06, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 5 comments. I know I haven't posted in a while but I have an excuse. I got a Kindle for Christmas. Soooo dangerous. I got rid of the tv, but now I'm trapped in the Kindle. Though I must say this is a rather pleasant (if expensive) addiction. Something that's helping me write today:. Putting down the Kindle for a few minutes. Links to this post. How do you eat an Elephant? One bite at a time. Texas, United States. View my complete profile.

Friday, March 25, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 4 comments. Image this. You've worked for months: writing script, designing sets, making costumes, positioning lights, and rehearsing, rehearsing, rehearsing. The big night arrives. You step out onto the stage trembling with fear and excitement. Will the crowd love it? The theater is empty. That is a metaphor for what happened to me this week. What did I do? I cried. And then I started writing again. Something that's helping me write today:. My sister ...

one little elephant: March 2010

Sunday, March 28, 2010 - Posted by Regina Richards - 3 comments. I enjoy watching over-the-top kick-butt heroines like Lara Croft Tomb Raider or Xena Warrior Princess on screen. So you'd think I'd also enjoy reading novels with similar female characters. But maybe not. So why the difference? Why do I enjoy pseudo-super-heroines on the screen, but not on the page? I suspect it's because when I watch a character on screen I feel I'm. Her story from the inside. Experiencing her story from the inside mea...

one little elephant: April 2011

http://www.onelittleelephant.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Failure Isn't Always Failure. Friday, April 29, 2011 - Posted by Regina Richards - 5 comments. Three years ago I made a resolution to get completely out of debt before my oldest started college. Between several cars, a mortgage, plenty of medical bills, too much credit card debt, and The Great Recession which was increasing the cost of living while significantly reducing our income, that was no small resolution. But I figured why not dream big? Yet I failed in a positive way. Links to this post. Details ...

Left hands are so over rated! April 5, 2013. This year's Filmpossible contest seems to have been another huge success, helping to end the stigma of disability for the third year in a row. Contestants were challenged to "capture moments of possibility" and to creatively "dispel myths, showcase achievements, demonstrate inclusion or accessibility, or tell a story." The same overall theme remains: " Bringing visibility to disability. There were so many wonderful entries (102 to be exact! I just love this vi...
