...one pebble on the beach...

One pebble on the beach. 06 January, 2013. Keep calm and don't look back. I have noticed I spend a lot of time looking back. Reminiscing moments of awe, regretting times of cowardice, and revisiting the scene(s) of tragedy. I held that reflecting would help ground and grow my faith in so much as providing "reality checks" as needed. Drawing closer to GOD, increasing in trust and surrender, and growing in boldness and the fruits of the spirit happen as GOD's voice shatters all other noise. Sometimes t...

...one pebble on the beach...: June 2010

http://onepebbleonthebeach.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

One pebble on the beach. 29 June, 2010. The Day Philippians ran me over. I have been under a writing dry-spell lately. And I hate it.I hate it because my mind does not pause during dry seasons; it continues to spin, sometimes more rapidly than normal, but it feels like I produce nothing from all the commotion and chaos. That is a RIDICULOUS frustration. The mere mention of someone else's wage/salary throws a wrench in my self-value and therefore how I present myself to others. But are not limited to.

...one pebble on the beach...: Have you ever noticed...

http://onepebbleonthebeach.blogspot.com/2012/09/have-you-ever-noticed.html

One pebble on the beach. 12 September, 2012. Have you ever noticed. Sometimes the most relaxing thing I can do is go for a walk. That might be why I love my brilliantly black German Shepherd; she is the perfect excuse to get outside. Regardless of where I walk, neighborhoods or scenic trails, I am reminded that thousands of other people exist around me.and somehow oxygen fills the spaces between us all. Walks "reset" me. As I pass trees, ocean waves, and parks the words just come:. I know you reign.

...one pebble on the beach...: Holidays are always the loneliest

http://onepebbleonthebeach.blogspot.com/2012/12/holidays-are-always-loneliest.html

One pebble on the beach. 21 December, 2012. Holidays are always the loneliest. I find holidays to be FULL of "supposed to" thoughts. I hate what the holidays have been built up to be. The expectation leads to deep despair. Every December my heart feels like the grimiest of infirmaries as "supposed to" repeatedly stabs my frozen and weak heart again and again. And that takes so many forms. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What makes me spunk.hhhmmm.I love doing things with people: rock climbing...

...one pebble on the beach...: March 2009

http://onepebbleonthebeach.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

One pebble on the beach. 17 March, 2009. I have been under a microscope lately…my own microscope. A litany of reasons could be used to explain why, but that is not the important part of this reflection. I have been overwhelmed over the last two months with this concept of identity. What determines how I see myself (which inevitably influences how I project and present myself to others)? For instance, in what order does “GOD’s daughter” fall on my list of identities? Empty Clay Jar: "We Made Teacher Cry."

http://alittlebet.blogspot.com/2011/05/we-made-teacher-cry.html

Learning not to compartmentalize life. Learning to live it. Monday, May 16, 2011. We Made Teacher Cry.". I told them earlier on in the semester that I cry when I'm happy. I cry when I'm sad. I cry when I'm mad. And that I cry when I'm feeling about almost any other. Strong or noteworthy (sometimes) emotion. Although I didn't want to bank on the fact that I would, I had a feeling that I'd end up crying in front of my adult-aged students. Happy because the semester had been such a great experience. Sunday, December 31, 2017. OPC Praise 40 of 2017. Before we go full throttle into 2018, we have one more year-end chart here on this blog, this time covering the Top 40 Praise and Worship and CCM tracks of the year. This is still still based on my weekly tallies, personal favorites, and Spotify rankings (Your Top Songs 2017). Husband and wife duo Grayson Reed. Might have fallen short on our Pop 40 chart, but they secure the top spot in our Praise 40 of 2017. Their second single from their album Walk.

Peculiar little thoughts from a peculiar little person. The Introvert’s Guide to Public Restrooms. Posted by Gracie Isabella. June 9, 2015. I want to talk to you about something very important to me. I know we haven’t talked in a while, but, y’know what, I’m jumping right in. Public restrooms are very scary for me. That is why I want to talk about bathroom courtesy. Here are my two primary issues with using a public bathroom. 1: They’re gross. It’s a rock fact! If there are enough people in there at once...
