Words of Wortham: July 2015
http://thewordsofwortham.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Do It, Do Good, and Keep Doing It. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. My journey with Hodge is coming to an end. It is a bitter-sweet thought to entertain as I reflect on what the past year has had come to fruition. I just had the port removed from my chest last week, which means that I no longer have anymore treatments and the battle with cancer is really winding down. Hodge has left. We killed him. He is gone. Live happily ever after? Leave everything behind for a greater more fulfilling life? The battle is won!

Do It, Do Good, and Keep Doing It. Saturday, August 9, 2014. Me and my friend Hodge. Well that's the most updated info that I have for you, but here is how it all started and when I started noticing it. I also noticed quite a while ago that my arms and legs (around my ankles) are itchy often. There isn't a rash or any visible sign of what would be causing them to be so dang itchy. After a while I started thinking why won't the itchiness go away. August 9, 2014 at 4:10 PM. You inspire me Lawrence! Get Wor...

Do It, Do Good, and Keep Doing It. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. My Kind of Blue. I wrote this while I was in Thailand. It was one of those miserably hot, humid nights that leave you staring at the ceiling in the dark wondering what the hell am I doing literally on the other side of the world from where I'm from. Right now it is 3:35 am I am awake, and making Mama. (Thai version of ramen noodles, except a lot better). With miles behind me I hear faint cries,. Powerful and moving, yet it's empty. That is my Kin...

Words of Wortham: I Find Peace in The Garden
http://thewordsofwortham.blogspot.com/2015/03/i-find-peace-in-garden.html
Do It, Do Good, and Keep Doing It. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. I Find Peace in The Garden. In August I was in bed trying to sleep and I could not because of the pain in my chest. Since being diagnosed in June/July I had never raised question to why I had to go through this. I accepted the cancer and knew that everything was going to be ok, but I felt so alone. I felt so isolated from everything. I felt overwhelmed and the question "why? Was now all that I could ask God. Why am I in pain? Why can't I sleep?

Words of Wortham: June 2013
http://thewordsofwortham.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Do It, Do Good, and Keep Doing It. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Have you ever heard the question:. What’s your status? Before meeting a man named Noah I never had. Apparently it is a question asking about your dating status. I don’t think that my generation ever used that one. To better understand Noah we worked together overnight at Kohl’s. He was my supervisor. He wasn’t white. Honestly I’m not sure what ethnicity he belonged to. Don’t get me wrong he was a cool guy, very nice, and very polite. It was a lit...

He picked out the highest points and like a bat out of hell scrambled up the rocks to reach the top never really looking down until it was too late and he was on top of his little world of fear at the point of the mountain. His wife at one point called up to him "what were you smoking up there? Well put it in your pipe and smoke it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
