Most weekend plans are made and somehow cancelled due to security, logistics not working out like you hoped or other unexpected circumstances that arise. This weekend was a rare and lovely one. Here are a few fun facts about September. I went on a boat ride the other day and it was wonderful. I got to work with a group that does anti-trafficking dramas and learned so much. It's pretty normal to smash cake on everyone's face at a birthday party, so I couldn't resist. Spent some sweet time in the Word.

Monday, September 10, 2012. I used to think I was decent in the kitchen. You know, I can follow a recipe and rarely catch anything on fire. But then I moved to India, where recipes are rare, and I found out that I've got a lot to learn about cooking from scratch. In hopes that I might one day settle down and marry a local guy (which isn't at all my plan), or at least impress my family and friends back home, Bhumika has taken on the task of teaching me some of her mad skills.
