Within the Ontotext project we have developed the following resources and tools:. A module for the automatic recognition of named entities, based on machine learning techniques (Support Vector Machines). It is available within the TextPro platform for the linguistic analysis of texts. An algorithm to decide with a certain degree of confidence wether two mentions refer to the same entity or not. A rule-based system for the automatic recognition and normalization of temporal expressions.

The Ontotext Portal provides an integrated access to the information extracted automatically from the "Adige corpus" (Version A-500.000), which contains the news stories published by the newspaper "L'Adige" from 1999 to 2006. The corpus consists of almost 600,000 news stories, for a total of around 200 million tokens and 12 million phrases. Access to information consists of two separate phases. What will we do when we grow up? Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Seoul, South Korea: January 11 to 14. We had a very nice 11 hour flight from Vancouver to Seoul, S. Korea. We took off at 1 PM in Vancouver and followed the sun, seeing a great sunset just before we landed at 6 PM in Seoul the next day. The sun had never gone down in the interim! Even the trees have coats on! Seoul is a very modern city. The Gyeongbokgung Palace (say that fast 3 times). This was one advantage to visiting Seoul during the winter.
