Shawn Russell's Marathon Run Exceeds Goal. Shawn Russell not only ran a successful Marine Marathon in Washington, D.C. in October, but shattered his goal of $2,500 for the Captain Scott Corwin Foundation by over $1,500. The final tally for his efforts is $4,017. Shawn Russell, a 1999 classmate of Scott at West Point, dedicated his run in the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon for Scottie's Foundation.
