Meandering thoughts about birth and beyond. Saturday, May 5, 2007. I'm a WOHMmy again. Naturally, when I headed back to work this time I focused on how it would once again affect my relationship with my baby, this time eight-and-a-half-week-old Milo. I would have to pump my breast milk again - and where was I going to do that? He was sleeping so well for those first eight weeks - would he start reverse cycling so he could spend time with me? Was it right for me to be leaving him at such a young age?

Our journey to becoming a family of four. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Gained: Who knows.I quit looking. Total weight gain: at least 50lbs. BP is good. 75% effaced, 3cm dilated. Dr B stripped my membranes. I guess we ait and see what happens. He is on call this weekend so that's good. I had my membranes stripped three times with Ava and nothing came of it so I'm not getting my hopes up quite yet. Dr B said "I'll see you this weekend! Hmmm I'll believe it when I see it. ☺. Our journey to becoming a family of four. Thursday, April 9, 2009. They kept me up most of the night - contractions. It was an annoying pattern. I'd wake up with contractions, they would last about 30 minutes and then quit. I'd fall back asleep only to wake up to more contractions about 2 hours later. I wish they would make up their mind. First My mom and I took "A" to the zoo, then we went out to lunch and then we hit the mall for some Christmas shopping. We had a great time. The zoo was cold but "A" didn't seem to mind. They have turkey's they wander the zoo. I think they wanted to come home with us! We got our first measurable amount of snow today! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Our journey to becoming a family of four. Friday, April 10, 2009. Today's my due date! Well it looks like her due date is going to come and go. I was up last night from 10:30pm to 2:00am with contractions. I even got up and took a shower to get some relief! At 2:00am they quit - just like that. One of these days they will stick around for real? I did go shopping at the mall today. We walked around quite a bit and I also got a new diaper bag. Did I need it? Nobut if you know me I love purses and bags!
