Saturday, October 16, 2010. This is a kind of a journal of my travels thru. To Tissamaharama… the drive was such a visual delight for a person who grew up in. I usually sleep if someone else is driving. I would not allow myself to fall asleep in case I missed something! We left Malabe at. As we just passed Horana, we stopped. Roadside and had breakfast by paddy fields and rubber plantations. Which is about an hour and half out of the metropolitan. Morning swim for sure. Stopped briefly to change some USD...

Saturday, July 31, 2010. Rockaway, Lincoln City, Pacific City, Cape Kiwanda. Now here is evidence of the dramatic geological event that brought about what America is today. Cape Kiwanda is great example. I was wondering what the hell happened here geologically and came to conclusion that angle of the rock sediment is about 45 degrees toward land. This tells me that this piece of real estate was formed when the North American shelf, plowed into the mainland a few million years ago! She is almost there!
