How is a Bee born? Not Likely. →. May 7, 2015 · 10:32 am. Vote No on Benton County Measure 2-89. Benton County Measure 2-89 would ban the growing of genetically engineered seeds and patented seeds. It would also impact research at Oregon State University by barring “any governmental entity to engage in the use of genetically engineered organisms within Benton County.”. The proponents of 2-89 are not above lying and below the belt remarks. A few takeaways from the forum:. It can happen to and from any cro...

June 15, 2015 · 12:11 pm. A recent investigative report by the Oregonian. Suggests that marijuana is far from the organic illusion. That many users have about it. However it appears OHA really had no direction or clue to as what they were doing, including a lack of knowledge on pesticides. If Oregon is going to have legal marijuana for medicinal or recreational use. Pesticides ar...

Driving to Amarillo on Tuesday morning, I took advantage of the “down time” to call my friend and mentor, Leon Bradley, in Western Australia. His wife, Pat, answered the phone. Leon is battling melanoma cancer and was not available to talk. I wrote this letter to him this morning, through tears and laughter. I do not even know if it’s appropriate to post here. But another friend, Shorty Hofer from Montana, encouraged me this morning to keep writing. So here you go, Shorty. Photo taken November 2011.

June 22, 2016 · 7:08 pm. The neighbor farmer had a fire this week. It was the first fire of Harvest 2016 and probably will not be the last. The farmer firefighters arrived quickly to help out. I was cutting a turf type fescue field when I turned the corner and saw smoke. I immediately called my dad and then my uncle. My dad was not near our truck. However my uncle was near his and when I said “Fire” and where it was he responded with “On our way! Our Water Truck, I love this truck. View from my windrower.
