With the help of our avid volunteers and staff you’ll gaze at incredible nebulae, binary stars, galaxies, planets and occasionally the moon. Summer Hours: June 15 - September 4. Tuesday-Sunday, closed Monday nights. Admission for the Oregon Observatory's Evening Program:. 10 Adults, $8 Children Age 2-12, Members of the organization are free.

Observatory News and Events. About The Non Profit. Run for the Birds. NASA's Next Mars Probe Set to Launch. NASA's next mission to Mars set to explore the Red Planet's atmosphere is getting ready to launch on Monday (Nov. 18). The Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution spacecraft (called MAVEN. For short) is expected to investigate how the ancient Red Planet shifted from being a warm, wet world to the cold desert it is today. Don't miss solar viewing! Saturdays during the month of April, from 11am-2pm.

Family b eginner rocketry class launching solid fuel rockets. Learn how rockets and rocket motors work, then design and fly your very own rocket! Ages: 5 to adult - family oriented. 30 for two, $40 for three, $50 for four. Members receive 20% discount. Ages 8 and up. $20 per student. $18 for members. ( no class planned for June 23rd).

We offer nightly viewing in the summer, with guided constellation tours and expert assistance. Whether you're an accomplished amateur astronomer or a first timer, you'll be amazed by the views we have to offer.
