Well after almost a year of misdiagnosis and pain the answer, it appears, is here. According to MRI I have a compression in the L5, stenosis in the same area and the compression is abutting the S1 nerve root bilaterally giving me the pain in both legs. Thanks all for support. Well well well. I am now back up to about 40km/week running and 10km/week swimming, cycling has been mostly on the trainer because of weather and busy at work. I am planning an 8k run next week, a 5k near xmas and the Kingston Half Marathon at the beginning of May since I will be there on a course. Ah Life Is Good!
