Sutton River overview with map at Ottertooth.com
http://www.ottertooth.com/Reports/Sutton/sutton-index.htm
More like the Canadian Shield. Than the Land of Muskeg. In August, 2000, four men descended the Sutton River, an overlooked river hidden in a corner of Hudson Bay Lowland. They found a land of contrasts: Canadian Shield-like rock outcroppings and a gorge in the midst of North America's largest wetland. Crystal-clear lakes and rivers in the kingdom of silt. Prized brook trout in a wilderness of pickerel and pike. In Jon Berger's sketches and Tom Terry's photos. N Washagami Lake to Moss Lake.

canoedog: The Old Canoe
http://www.canoedog.ca/2014/04/the-old-canoe.html
Tuesday, 8 April 2014. My seams gape wide so I’m tossed aside. To rot on a lonely shore. While the leaves and mould like a shroud enfold,. For the last of my trails are o’er;. But I float in dreams on Northland streams. That never again I’ll see,. As I lie on the marge of the old portage. With grief for company. When the sunset gilds the timbered hills. That guard Timagami,. And the moonbeams play on far James Bay. By the brink of the frozen sea,. In phantom guise my Spirit flies. On the Lady Evelyn,.
