Tuesday, August 19, 2008. We went to a great place called Portrait Innovations to have family photos taken last Friday. All together we had 88 pictures snapped! We ordered quite a few and were given a CD of all 88 shots. I asked if it was legal to post them on the blog and they said yes! So here's a sampling of how they turned out! Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Ours for One Whole Month! Sunday was one month from the day we picked Jill up! Today was a crazy day! She hated the shots and bloodwork. In fact she started screaming when the nurse put alcohol on her arm! I don't know if she just didn't like the alcohol's feel or smell or if they do this before giving shots in Russia and she remembered it. She was so worn out afterwards that even though she had a package of 3 graham crackers in the car, she fell asleep after eating only two!

Monday, June 30, 2008. It really doesn't seem like it's been four days! We've made a lot of progress in four days. For one, she doesn't suck her thumb all day anymore. Even when she's mad at us (like when we want her to use the toilet for example) she starts moving her thumb to her mouth and then-usually-stops on her own and slams her hand down on the ground. She really does seem to want to please us. Usually it only stays closed for about 1-2 seconds, but once she kept it closed for 5 seconds! Today we ...

Monday, August 11, 2008. Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots of Photos. Wearing her cool sunglasses holding her cell phone at Ty's baseball game. Jill played her very first 'board game', Cootie, with Ty, Jake, and Mommy, and SHE WON! The winner gets hugs and kisses! Jake and Ty both love to spin her around until she's dizzy. She falls down, gets back up and wants to do it again, and again, and again, and again! All of her Band-aids from her shots and blood work. At least they matched her dress! She is a doll!

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Just wanted to comment a bit on Jill's talking. She's gone from saying one word, to two word phrases, to a few three word phrases over the past few months. Then, about two weeks ago she must have noticed that when we talk we use some smaller words in with our important words. So, at Jake's soccer game she said, "car? Friday, April 25, 2008. Buttomorrow we're getting up early to get to breakfast early to leave at 8:30 for the airport! Tomorrow mid-morning we'll be in Moscow again. We plan to go to Arbat Street which is famous for souvenir shopping. So, on the second visit I wanted to measure her foot by tracing it onto a large piece of paper I had brought. Monday, March 31, 2008. We have travel dates! Our caseworker is out of the office today, tomorrow and Wednesday, but assured us that another member of the Russia team would call us if travel dates came through, and about noon today-they did! Unfortunately they have asked us to travel the exact week that we told them we would be unavailable to travel, April 21st! Here's what we've decided on:.
