http://sextonstory.blogspot.com/2011/12/reason-to-surrender.html
Monday, December 5, 2011. A Reason to Surrender. I Lift My Hands. Chris Tomlin is one of my absolute favorite artists- Steven's too. In fact, we didn't attend many concerts this year, but we made sure to go to Chris Tomlin a few weeks ago when he was in town with Louie Giglio. If you ever have the opportunity to worship with Chris Tomlin- DO IT! You will thank God for the gift He has blessed Chris with! So, now that you know I Heart Chris Tomlin, let's share a little about this song. I lift my hands to b...

The Sexton Story: March 2014
http://sextonstory.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Mom - One year later. Mom died. That seems simple enough to say right? Enough to fill a lifetime, yet it was really only one small sliver of life. But today, I’m not concerned with those 34 months, or even just one month. Today I’m concerned with one little week…March 12, 2013-March 19, 2013. Do you know that I can almost hour by hour tell you what happened that week? The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." Psalm 34:18. I don't know,...

The Sexton Story: Timelines
http://sextonstory.blogspot.com/2013/05/timelines.html
Wednesday, May 1, 2013. It was one year ago today that Dr. Kwo. My Dad to tell him that the liver transplant was off the table and the cancer had spread to the portal vein. At that time he was given 6-12 months- but my Dad has never been one to be on time, so it's not really a surprise that Dad didn't meet some doctor's timeline. Timelines have an interesting impact on people don't they? Who can possibly predict that? One thought to leave you with.what's your timeline? May 1, 2013 at 11:20 PM. Wright Fam...

The Sexton Story: May 2011
http://sextonstory.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 30, 2011. This past weekend, in the midst of all the other "stuff" going on in the Sexton world, the annual Child Life Conference was held in Chicago. Many months ago, one of my coworkers (Brooke) and I submitted an abstract for a presentation.and we were accepted! On Saturday, we gave an awesome "Humanism in Medicine" presentation.and in my opinion, we knocked it out of the park! I was so happy with the way the whole thing went and I couldn't be more proud of Brooke! Sunday, May 15, 2011.

The Sexton Story: A Reason to Remember...
http://sextonstory.blogspot.com/2011/12/reason-to-remember.html
Thursday, December 1, 2011. A Reason to Remember. This is the Stuff. I love this song, it's my phone ringtone.yes, I actually paid for it! It's so loud, I actually jump a little when my phone rings, but I can't bear to change it. I think some people would think of it as "don't sweat the small stuff".which is a nice idea, but sometimes you gotta "sweat it and forget it". Learn the lesson and move on. Someone save me"- Lord, that is You, because, ultimately, doesn't God have our back? Thank God for that!
