Oth Qigong (or Chi Kung) and Tai Chi Chuan are ancient Chinese arts that promote relaxation, stress relief, health, and longevity through cultivation of chi—the life force within and around us. Movements are slow and gentle, combining mindful, deeply calming postures, precise alignment and coordinated breathing. Energy work or breath/spirit cultivation. Tai Chi and Qigong practitioners gather at 10 am in each time zone around the world to practice and demonstrate their arts, beginning in Samoa at 10 am and picking up an hour later in the next time zone, continuing in a wave around the planet, ending in Hawaii at the end of the day.
