Oct 9, 2008. Still undecided, we were giving the boys a bath and discussing back and forth for the upteenth time why we should/shouldn't go. Then Michael plays dirty. He asks Sebby who is enjoying his bath to the fullest,"Do you want Mommy to let you go to the car show to see all the cool cars? Sebby gets the biggest smile on his face and jumps up with an enthusiastic,"Yaaaaaaa! That was the clincher. How could I deny that sweet face? Oct 1, 2008. On the Road Again. As mentioned before, we had a lot of guests come through town to celebrate the twins' third birthday. We were especially lucky that my mom's Spring Break coincided. With the birthday party. My parents came for a visit that week and of course spoiled the boys rotten. I almost feel nonexistent. When there are such revered guests present. Each and every time. Apr 8, 2009. As you can see, the musketeers are still pretty popular around here. My mom made the tunics and sent some pirate hats which really have the boys over the moon. Seb. And his guitar (which is used for being the troubadour. And also doubles as a sword.). Of course, the tunic is sometimes a source of a fight for me. Seb. Continues to amaze me with his linguistic. I know it’s only been three days and we are very much in the “honeymoon period” where the kids are still on their best behavior and dressed to impress… but I love the first week of school. I really believe that the first week can very much make or break the year… and so far this week has gone beautifully. They make me laugh, some of them make me want to hug them and weep for them, they challenge me, and give me a sense of purpose.
