Our Fun Little Niche. Ideas, Recipes, and other Fun Stuff! Sunday, August 24, 2008. We survived day one. We left homebase around 9:30a and after a quick lunch in Wells, NV we pushed through to arrive in Reno at 5:30 (Reno time.) A relatively uneventful day and much easier than we expected. We finished with a buffet at Circus Circus, a few midway games and that was it. Tomorrow we’ll stop at the Jelly Belly factory and then drive on down to Solvang. Here we are taking off. I drove the first 3 hrs.

Asian Carrot and Mushroom Noodle Soup. 1 tsp vegetable oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 TBSP minced gingerroot. 3 green onions, chopped. 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes. 1 cup thickly sliced mushrooms. 3/4 cup thinly sliced carrots. 2 cups each chicken stock and water. 1 TBSP lime or lemon juice. 2 tsp each fish sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. 2 oz egg noodles (approx. 3/4 cup). 1 TBSP vegetable oil.

Our Fun Little Niche. Ideas, Recipes, and other Fun Stuff! Friday, June 20, 2008. This is one of my favorite taste of Mexico.Nopales. You take 2 despiked, cleaned and despined cactus leaves.(I have been told that sometime you can find them in walmart). Wash and dice them. Saute in butter for 15 minutes. In same pan add 4 scrabbled eggs. Mix until eggs are cooked. Serve with warm tortillas and salsa. It is an amazing breakfast or anytime meal. YUMMY. Saturday, June 14, 2008. 10 ounces uncooked spaghetti.

Oh WOW it has been a long time since I posted on the family blog, well this is what has been going on, Jarett is now in the 4th grade and Ray is in the 2nd grade and they are loving. Curtis is loving his new job in Clearfield he is still working for ATK but isnt doing anything with the space program so we are hoping his job is pretty safe for now, cuz they build parts for the government planes and what not. We are still living in Bear River and enjoying it I still teach Sunday ...
