Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Beneath these headstones we visit, so I made little info sheets with photos and a brief synopsis of the person's life. I tried to find info that my boys would find interesting. For example, how Grandpa Pilgrim came to become an ambulance driver in WWII, or how Jeff only had his haircut once a year when he was a boy and it was when his family would visit Grandpa Bergstrom. Because he was a barber at the University of Utah. I think the boys enjoyed hearing the stories. I'm just so ...

Monday, February 22, 2010. Drew's 3rd grade class went on an awesome learning adventure this week that we (me, Jeff and my mom) were so fortunate. To be a part of. It's called Kid's Marketplace and it's meant to be a tool to introduce the skills required for money management and it was SOOO. Each student was randomly given a job and an amount they made each month (Drew was a fire fighter who made $200). They had a list of expenses that they would incur. Graders is that the 9 th. Some kids thought that th...

Saturday, December 26, 2009. And I ran another Half Marathon. I thought I was all finished updating but then I remembered that I forgot to talk about the Half Marathon I ran in Las. Vegas at the beginning of December. I was one of 28,000 runners who participated in the 13.1 mile run up and down the strip. It was amazing! It was such a great feeling to be surrounded by such athletes and to pretend to be one of them! I complete the course in 2 hours 10 minutes. That's HUGE for Jeff! From Christmas Eve to N...

Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Our Summer Solstice Celebration! This week-end we went up to my Grandpa Pilgrim's Cabin for our own little Summer Solstice Celebration. It was cold and rainy the entire day so it was impossible to notice the sun's position in the sky (in order to notice that this was the longest day of sunlight of the year), or go on the nature hike I had planned, but we made the most out of it and had a great time anyway! Drew chose to put a corner of his baby blanket near the heart of Lugh.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Taking the grandfolks to the zoo! Sunday started off overcast and rainy and perfect weather for spending the day at the zoo! So after breakfast at Ruth's Diner with Grandma and Grandpa (our favorite place up Immigration Canyon), we decided to head over to the zoo and see all the new baby animals. Isn't it cool how it makes a place more fun when you're seeing it through someone else's eyes? Plus there's so much information and interactive exhibits there. The new carousel was real...
