There is off street parking opposite the cottage on the other side of the road (space for two cars). Please take care when backing in! There is another space at the side of the cottage facing up the hill. Don’t park over the gated area, which is our neighbour’s entrance. East Down has a micro-climate of its own. The food is excellent good (quality/price); the young publicans and staff are incredibly friendly and its fun walking up in the dark. As there are no streetlights take the torch with you. This is more for road safety from the possible post pub cars than for finding your way back! On Saunton Sands has a sea view and simple food and not too pricey.
