We had a fairly uneventful trip back to Ecuador.no hassles with the rental car, drop-off or check-in. We had five footlockers running between 55-65# each, plus one rolling duffle at around 40#. We spent our wait time in the Admiral's Club and the plane left on time! Saga continued on our Ecuador blog. Retired in Cuenca.

We flew into the US on August 29th (overnight flight) and we fly out on October 29th (late day flight). We'll spend the night in Guayaquil and our good friend, Emilio, will pick up for our 4 hr drive through the mountains on the morning of the 30th. Won't be much time for blogging until we are back in Ecuador, then we'll do a little recap comparison of our thoughts of living in both places.

Monday, December 5, 2011. I LOVE the Christmas holidays! I love the sights and sounds and smells of Christmas. I love the magic of Christmas. I love just sitting by the Christmas tree in the evenings, all lit up and the fire a glow. I love all the time we spend together as a family. I don't like the cold white stuff much but the Christmas season I love! We don't have a lot of family traditions but the ones we have are important to us. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. A weekend in Seattle. Mom and I took the girls to Seattle for a weekend get away which turned into a kids weekend :). We visited the Seattle Children's Museum. Playing in this little taco restaurant was Aaylas favourite thing to do. Making smoothies just like daddy does. Walking through leaves my girls can't help but pick them up by the handfuls. And the Woodland Park Zoo. We bought bird food feeders for $2 each to feed the birds. Oh and I bought this book ( find it here.
