Sometimes to catch the bad bugs, you have to test outside the box. Laquo; Exploring the world of Software Testing and Super Mario. I read an interesting article this week and I would like to share some parts of it with you. Prolonged repetitious drillings will certainly yield mechanical precision and security of that kind comes from any routine. However, it is exactly this kind of “selective” security or “crutch” which limits or blocks the total growth of a Software Tester. Within a distinct form governe...

Sometimes to catch the bad bugs, you have to test outside the box. Practical Wisdom in Testing. When talking about parenting the danish psychologist Bent Hougaard created the term Curling Parent. Comparing with the Curling Parent we must be careful not to do too much sweeping, then we may end up seeing developers putting a lot of stones into play without control and we then not only have to sweep but also have to watch our legs not to get swept away our selves. Sometimes to catch the bad bugs, you have to test outside the box. Laquo; Context-Driven Philosophy. Adapt to the context. Sometimes you must find a way that you don’t know where it will lead or where it will end. Looking for software bugs that no one knows of is always a challenge. To find them, new methods from other worlds can sometimes be useful. What if a famous writes crashed his car during a snow storm in the middle of nowhere? Sometimes to catch the bad bugs, you have to test outside the box. Laquo; Practical Wisdom in Testing. Exploring the world of Software Testing and Super Mario. Inspired by Rikard Edgren’s text about using everyday analogies. And compare them with testing I started thinking about this. To me, exploring the world of Super Mario is much like exploring bugs and features of a new product. This entry was posted on February 14, 2011, 23:13 and is filed under Exploratory Testing. Christin's blog on testing: May 2011

http://christintesting.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Christin's blog on testing. I want to be a fantastic tester, and one part of striving to improve my testing skills is to share my thoughts on testing. 25 May, 2011. Sometimes what tastes like mold actually is mold. Last night I enjoyed a test-oriented after work with Simon Morley. That it is important and should be investigated, and still no one can be bothered. Finally, when I only had a piece of crust left, my eye was caught by something bluish and fuzzy. Of course the crust was moldy! Probably the ent...

Now that the project has finished it is time to sum up my experiences of adapting Thread-Based Test Management. December 11, 2008 · 10:31 am. Snow day on the bayou. December 7, 2008 · 5:07 pm. We’ve finished and mailed all of our ornaments for the ornament swap. I think they turned out really cute, in fact we made extras for the grandparents (none of whom read this blog, so I can post about them now). He did this part by himself after we did the first one. We also ...
