So it’s Shrove Tuesday again – and that only means one thing – PANCAKE DAY! I’ve used the same old recipe for pancakes for many years. It’s on a mucky, dog-eared photocopy of a recipe from an old leaflet (or was it cut from a magazine? Serve them with your favourite topping such as lemon and sugar, maple syrup and bananas, caramelised apples,...

Moving day at last! Moving day at last! Jul 12, 2015. This weekend has been the most expensive weekend I’ve had this year. If you’re thinking bottles of Moet and a private jet to Paris, you will be sadly very disappointed. As I mentioned earlier this week. The trouble with starting again is that I’ve had to start from scratch. My previous rented house was semi-furnished and so I didn’t need to buy anything a year ago. This time round however, I’ve had to buy. We’re talking ALL the bedroom furniture.

In charge of more than I should be :. Life & Home. Selling a house: preparation, staging and frustration. O it turns out we are not moving after all. I knew I shouldn’t have broadcast that we had a buyer – it’s the ultimate jinx! The agent took photographs of the house:. Living areas and outside only as that’s all we do,. He said, so it was a little embarrassing to see another house come on the market with the same agent (admittedly in a different price bracket) which had a full complement of pictures in...

You'll never work in PR - Rosie Scribble
http://www.rosiescribble.co.uk/you-will-never-work-in-pr
You’ll never work in PR. I used to say a lot on this blog. I’d post about work news, the latest course I was taking, the frustrations of freelancing (although I think I only wrote that post in my head) and I’d ponder on where I thought my life was going next. I’ve done less of that recently, wary of tempting fate by posting good news, nervous about sharing too much of life’s frustrations when all is not going so well. I was there for all of five minutes. I’d travelled for hours at great expense and w...
