Going up to 5400 metre, wading through snowfields, dodging rolling rocks, eating dal baht every day; it was hard, but worth it. Czech Republic and Hungary. Travelling to Romania is like travelling back in time in Europe. Life is still uncomplicated and simple and you see a lot of horse-drawn wagons. The people are, with the exception of the women working behind counters, friendly and hospitable. And also important: the beer is unbelievably cheap. Czech Republic and Hungary. Read here about hashish stealing sadhu's and my adventures in Thailand. In Ujjain I went to the Kumb Mela. According to Hindu mythology the gods had some fuss. About nectar (Amrit) which makes one immortal and spilled some on 4 different places in India. Every few years there is a Mela in one of this places and every 12 years there is a big Mela (Kumb Mela). These Kumb Mela's are the biggest gatherings in the world, millions of people show up. And tons of hashish go up in smoke.
