The world through the eyes of owlmamma. It’s been so warm and beautiful and easy to get out to see all the new plants and I’ve been out each day so I won’t miss a thing. Last year the Lady’s Slippers were old by the time I saw them and I don’t want to do that again! So far this is the most unusual flower I’ve seen. I didn’t notice it at first because it just looks like a bunch of leaves when I’m standing, but I noticed the “cup” and squatted down to be met by this view! And a dark little head in the cup!

The world through the eyes of owlmamma. A few nights ago I had fallen asleep on the couch after making sure the wood stove was staying hot. Hearing voices, I thought my two younger children were up early playing with birthday toys. As I began to wake up I realized they were not happy children voices but owls!
