Jane and Malc on the road. Tuesday, July 10, 2007. It is actually summer here so. First the evidence that we do have gardens under all that winter snow. We got lots of fish (mostly released - there are very strict size limits protecting larger not smaller fish and bag limits) and enjoyed daily meals of Manitoba Pickerel (Walleye) pictured below. Jane and Malc on the road. Thursday, June 29, 2006. This post has changed! Blogger seems to be back on line from Europe, so you now have the story to go with the pictures now without repetition. Life on the ocean waves! It took us about 1 and a half hours to make the 25 minute trip to the port, thanks to people at various hotels who thought the departure times were more like a guideline actually. Our spacious cabin - I'm leaning on one bed, the couch folds down as the other. Most cars seem to have scrapes.

Jane and Malc on the road. Sunday, January 07, 2007. Happy New Year 2007. A rare family group shot to start the new year! As you can see, despite global warming, we had a white Christmas in Winnipeg, although the average temperature is about 10 degrees C above normal. While we started this blog to act as a substitute for multiple postcards while on the road, it seems fitting to keep it ticking over with family stuff until the travel bug bites again. July 14th explored around Banff - below the Vermilion Lake wetlands, just outside of town. The legendary Lake Louise, about an hour north of Banff - nearby Moraine Lake is pretty spectacular too if you have the patience to wait for a parking spot to open so that you can drive in. Jane and Malc on the road. Sunday, June 17, 2007. The Intrepid Dezine half marathon. I really did it; 21.4 km in 2 hours and 5 minutes. For the statistically minded, 1710 sq.ft, 2 bedrooms plus den/3rd bedroom, double garage, 2 full bathrooms, gas central heating and central airconditioning (Yes, it is still in Canada but 40 degrees is not that rare in inland BC).
